At approximately 6:45 am this morning a vehicle was involved in a serious crash on State Highway 6, near the Wanaka Airport. The accident appears to be a single vehicle accident with a single occupant. The vehicle has impacted a stone wall. The driver was flown to Dunedin Hospital in a serious medical condition. State Highway 6 is closed with diversions at Mount Barker Road and Morris Road, and is expected to reopen later this morning.
